Altavista High School

Altavista High School is a public high school in Altavista, Virginia. Altavista High School and Middle School are under the same roof and, thus, go by the name Altavista Combined School (Grades 6-12). The current enrollment is estimated to be 700 students (6-12).[2] The mascot is the Colonel, and their teams are known as "The Colonels."[3] The school is a member of VHSL and competes with the Group A Dogwood District.[4]

A notable alumnus of Altavista Combined School is Juan Thornhill, Safety for the Kansas City Chiefs and Superbowl LIV Champion.[5]

gollark: I lean somewhat libertarian, so I'd say "guns to anyone who is demonstrated to be reasonably sane and able to handle guns safely and is probably not a criminal".
gollark: Probably somewhat lower. I'm not certain. Addressing the causes of crime is probably generally better than increasingly strict weapons laws.
