Biography

Born in Deauville, Beust is the son of French Davis Cup doubles player Patrice Beust.[1]

Beust, a right-handed player, competed on the professional tour in the early 1990s, reaching a best singles ranking of 348 in the world. He played in the qualifiers of both the French Open and Wimbledon during his career. At the French Open, he made the second qualifying round on two occasions, including in 1993 when he was narrowly beaten by Pat Rafter, 7–9 in the final set.[2]

His only ATP Tour main draw appearance came at the 1994 Italian Open, where he came through the qualifiers, beating Darren Cahill en route. He was beaten in the first round by local wildcard Diego Nargiso, in three sets.[3]

As a doubles player, Beust twice featured in the main draw of the French Open. He made the second round of the men's doubles at the 1994 French Open (with Stéphane Huet) and appeared in the mixed doubles the following year (with Caroline Dhenin).[4]

gollark: Natural ≠ good, as they say.
gollark: Some classrooms have no/broken WiFi coverage for no apparent reason despite sometimes having access points *in them*, which is a problem since because something something COVID-19 teachers got laptops instead of using the NUCs in the classrooms.
gollark: Oh, and there seems to be an issue storing preferences so Edge will ask you to set it up again on every login.
gollark: Even when you actually log in it's unusable for a while more because Windows spends a while using 100% CPU for no apparent reason. You can hear the NUCs VRRRRRRRRing as loudly as they can.
gollark: In the last few years, instead of the reasonably functional setup where people's stuff was stored on a big on-premise fileserver, someone clearly decided to cloud™, and now everyone's files are on OneDrive and login takes several minutes and often breaks randomly.
