Allocasuarina pinaster

Allocasuarina pinaster, commonly known as the compass bush, is a shrub of the genus Allocasuarina native to a small area in the southern Wheatbelt region of Western Australia.[1]

The dioecious prickly shrub resembles a pine tree which typically grows to a height of 1 to 3 metres (3.3 to 9.8 ft). It is found in gravelly lateritic soils.
