Alhadas
Alhadas is a town in the municipality of Figueira da Foz, Portugal. The population in 2011 was 4,757,[1] in an area of 31.84 km².[2]

History
Alhadas was raised to village in the XII century by the domain of D. Fraile Pais. In mediaval documents, like the charter granted to Montemor-o-Velho, by D. Teresa and D. Brance, Alhadas and Maiorca are referred to.
Aliadia (Alhadinha) is probably the first name of Alhadas. After becoming a village, in the middle of the XII century, was considered or designed as Couto of Alhadas. It was the headquarters of the counsel until the start of the XIX century were it became a parish of the extint counsel of Maiorca until 1853 and received the charter of D.Manuel I, in august 1514
