Alexteroon hypsiphonus

Alexteroon hypsiphonus is a species of frog in the family Hyperoliidae.[1][2] It is found in southern Cameroon, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, and the western Republic of the Congo.[2] Common name cross-banded egg-guarding frog has been proposed for it.[2]

This species lives near rivers in rainforest habitat. It is common, but it is threatened by habitat loss.[1]
