Alex Bugnon
Alex Bugnon (born October 10, 1958) is a jazz pianist and composer from Montreux, Switzerland. He is a nephew of Donald Byrd.[1]

Bugnon studied at the Paris Conservatory and the Mozart Academy in Salzburg. At age nineteen, he moved to the U.S. and attended the Berklee School of Music.[2]
His recording career began with his 1988 debut studio album Love Season for Orpheus Records, which reached the Billboard 200 albums chart and the top 40 of the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart as did his follow-up Head Over Heels.[2] He has been nominated for two Soul Train Music Awards for the Best Jazz Album category in 1990 and 1992.
Bugnon toured with "Gospel Leviticus" in the Deep South.
The Contra Costa County Historical Society holds a Publicity press photo 8x10 which shows Bugnon was under contract to Epic. The photo is copyrighted by Sony Music. Copyright date is 1991. This photo was included in the Photo Morgue of the Contra Costa County Time newspaper, which is now in the custody of the Historical Society Archives.
