Alec Shankly

Alexander Shankly was a Scottish professional football inside left who played in the Scottish League for Ayr United and Nithsdale Wanderers.[1]

Personal life

Shankly's brothers Bill, Jimmy, John and Bob all became footballers.[2] He served in the Royal Scots Fusiliers and in the Royal Flying Corps during the First World War.[2] Shankly was troubled by sciatica after the war and returned to work as a miner before being forced into early retirement.[3]

gollark: I think cryptocurrency with proof of work is impressive in how it manages to make people burn vast amounts of resources on slightly reallocating mining reward, and scalpers are just people exploiting retailers' incorrect unwillingness to raise prices.
