Biography

Huffman in 2010.

Huffman was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada as Alaina Kalanj. She is of Croatian ancestry. At the age of thirteen, Huffman went to her first audition for a Fox Family Channel pilot. Despite the competition, she was offered the main role. However, a model scout recruited Huffman and she was set to model in high fashion runways in Europe and Japan for the following years.

When her parents moved to Dallas she saw the opportunity to live in the United States and enroll in college, leaving modeling behind. While in school, she took on acting roles in a series of independent films. Eventually she moved to Los Angeles where she added more television credits to her resume.

Alaina has four children with her ex-husband John Huffman: sons Elijah and Lincoln, and daughters Hanna and Charley-Jane. Charley-Jane was born December 8, 2009. The latter pregnancy coincided with the first season of Stargate Universe, and was written into the plot. She announced on Twitter that she had given birth to Lincoln, on December 15, 2011.[1]

gollark: I use Void Linux for purposes, I find it much nicer than Raspbian. Also more lightweight.
gollark: Perhaps it has some sort of connection tracking limit.
gollark: Not unsafe in the sense that it'll do undefined behaviour probably, just that you can't statically be sure it only contains the type you want.
gollark: It's a wildly unsafe and slow "generic", and you can write fast code with generics. More so than if you have to unsafely typecast any time you want a data structure other than the 3 built-in ones.
gollark: (I know they seem to be working on them now, but it's after years of denying they were necessary or good)
