Akiko Kuji

Akiko Kuji (久慈 暁子, Kuji Akiko, born 13 July 1994) is a female announcer for Fuji Television. She is a former female fashion model.

Biography

She was born from Ōshū, Iwate.[3] She has the height of 166 cm (5 ft 5 12 in).[4]

From her birth to her high school graduation she spent eighteen years in Iwate Prefecture.

She is a graduate from Mizusawa High School and Aoyama Gakuin University Department of Economics.[2]

In the spring of 2013, she went to Tokyo for the purpose of going to college from the local Iwate, and was scouted in Shibuya in May and entered the entertainment industry.[3]

In March 2014, she was selected in the Asahi Kasei Group Campaign Model 2014.[5][6] There was PR work from Ōshū city even after this. In July, she performed for her first time in a television drama at Kin Kyori Renai: Season Zero and played her acting debut.[2] In August she was selected in the Grand Prix at the 45th non-no model audition and became a magazine exclusive model from the November 2014 issue.[7][8] On 7 December, a conversation with pitcher Shohei Otani of the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters from the same school at the same village was the Fighters Stadium VIP Room, which was featured in Ōshū City's "Public Information Center January 27th Year Issue".[9] But this was a sports news report about the "Mayor's Certified Birthday".[10]

In March 2017, she graduated as an exclusive model from the April 2017 issue of the magazine non-no.[11] Until she graduated from college she belonged to Illume (Incent).[12]

In her announcer exam, there was an official decision from Nippon TV,[13] but declined it and joined Fuji Television as announcer in April 2017.[2] Her synchronous enterprises are three people, Koki Adake, Yuka Ebihara, and Shoui Kurose.[14]

Personal life

Her family are composed with her father, mother, and older brother,[1] with former Iwate Broadcasting Company announcer[14] (later turned to an English teacher) Chizuko Ishikawa as her mother.[4]

Her special skills are swimming and calligraphy, in which her qualification possesses English Proficiency Test Level 2, Kanji kentei Level 2, Japanese Proficiency Level 3, and Japanese Juniku 8 steps.[15]

Her hobbies are watching films, window shopping, and reading magazines.[15]

She learned to swim for ten years from five years old to junior high school graduation, she have been fourth in the Iwate prefecture convention.[16] In 2007, she participated in the 54th Iwate Prefecture Junior High School General Physical Education Competition in junior high school year one, in which she won 23rd place with 100m breaststroke,[17] and 12th place with 200m breaststroke.[18] In the third year of junior high school in 2009, she later participated in the 56th Iwate Prefecture Junior High School General Physical Education Competition and has the record of 13th place with the 100m breaststroke.[19]

In addition to receiving the Encouragement Prize at the 'Okinawa Mido Mizusawa Junior High School 2nd year',[20] she participated in the Spirit Of Hiraizumi High School English Speech Contest at Mizusawa Secondary School Second Grader and later participated in the "World Heritage Hiraizumi - World A Sublime Spiritual Culture Recognized by Him-" in which she sometimes being chosen as the Excellence Award.[21][22]

She is familiar with English from a young age due to the influence of her mother who was a high school teacher in English and have experience of homestaying in Austria in high school.[23]

She belonged to a cheerleading circle for half a year during her college years.[24]

She is in good terms with Ikumi Hisamatsu, who has the same age and affiliated with her former office,[25] and Erika Matsumoto.[26]

Her favourite food is konnyaku jelly.[12]
