Akhbare Islamia
Akhbare Islamia was a historic journal published from Tangail District of Bengal.
History
Akhbare Islamia was founded in April 1884 by the zamindar of Karatia, Mohammad Ali Khan Panni. It was edited by Mohammad Naimuddin. It published till 1894 and restarted publication in April 1896. The magazine published works on Islam and Islamic life.[1] The magazine was part of an Islamic revival in Bengal that promoted Orthodox Islam and discouraged religious syncretism that was common among Bengali Muslims. The movement was fundamentalist in nature that discouraged secular books and music.[2] It had legal disputes with its contemporary The Ahmadi, a secular Muslim magazine.[3]
gollark: I don't see myself doing that, since I basically only do exercisey things through a combination of being required(ish) to due to picking "fitness" as one of my sport options, some concern for my health, and the fact that it's in the sport-y environment at school and during a timeslot when there aren't really many other options.

gollark: <@665664987578236961> I think people's problem with it is more that quality of instruction can vary a lot, there is often not good sparring with resistance, there's a lack of competitions, it hasn't demonstrated that it works consistently in MMA competitions, there's an overemphasis on "deadly" techniques and aggressiveness, and that you can't really reliably defend against knives, multiple people or guns.
