Ahmed Idris
Ahmed Idris (November 25, 1960) is a Nigerian Financial accountant and incumbent Accountant General of the Federation of Nigeria. He was appointed as AGF on June 25, 2015 to succeed Jonah Ogunniyi Otunla who was sacked by Muhammadu Buhari on allegedly misappropriating N2.5 billion of security agencies’ funds.[1] Prior to his appointment as AGF, he was a director in the Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel. He is a member of the Association of National Accountant of Nigeria (ANAN).[2]

Position Re-appointment
Mr Ahmed idris, on Wednesday has been re-elected as the Accountant General of the Federation by President Muhammadu Buhari. His appointment will take effect from June 25, 2019.[3]
