Agim Hajrizi
Agim Hajrizi (1961–1999), was a Kosovo Albanian human rights activist and the president of the Union of Independent Trade Unions of Kosova (BSPK). Agim Hajrizi was murdered by Serb paramilitary soldiers in his home in Mitrovica on 24 March 1999, during the Kosovo War, with his mother Nazmie and 12-year-old son Ilir. It is thought he was targeted for his political activities,[1] similar to other prominent Kosovo Albanians killed by Serbian forces at the same time.[2]

Other prominent Albanians were killed in different part of Kosovo at the same time. On March 25, Serbian security forces broke into the home of a respected physician in Djakovica, Dr. Izet Hima, and shot him in front of his wife. A well-known lawyer, Urim Rexha, and an LDK leader, Mark Malota, were also killed in Djakovica that day (see Djakovica Municipality). Two high level LDK activists in Mitrovica were also killed in unclear circumstances: Agim Hajrizi and Latif Berisha.
