Aestuariicola is a genus in the phylum Bacteroidetes (Bacteria).[1]

Etymology

The name Aestuariicola derives from:
Latin noun aestuarium, part of the coast that overflows with seawater during a flood-tide and is left covered with mud or slime at ebb-tide, a tidal flat; Latin suff. -cola (from Latin noun incola), a dweller, inhabitant; New Latin masculine gender noun Aestuariicola, a dweller in a tidal flat.[2]

Species

The genus contains a single species,[2] namely A. saemankumensis ( Yoon et al. 2008, (Type species of the genus).; New Latin masculine gender adjective saemankumensis, of Saemankum, from where the organism was isolated.)[3]
