Advertising ID

An advertising ID is a user resettable ID assigned by the device or operating environment to help advertising services.[1] It can be sent to advertisers and other third parties which could be used to track the user's movement and usage of applications.[2] There is a potential for such technology to replace magic cookies.[3]
