Addy Raj

Adhiraj Gaur (Hindi: अधिराज गौर, born on 30 August 1995 in Ajmer, Rajasthan, India), popularly known as Addy Raj, is an Indian actor, model, singer and a former exchange student in the Philippines. He is best known for appearing in ABS-CBN's I Love OPM in 2016. He later transferred to rival network GMA and is now one of the main cast of the TV series Meant to Be, a romantic-comedy drama. He portrays the role of Jai Patel, an Indian suitor to Billie Bendiola (portrayed by Barbie Forteza), in the show.[1][2]

In this Indian name, the name Gaur is a patronymic, not a family name, and the person should be referred to by the given name, Adhiraj.

Early life and career

Addy Raj was born as Adhiraj Gaur on 30 August 1995 in Rajasthan, India and raised in New Delhi, Delhi, India. His father, Suchek Gaur, is a forest officer in India and his mother is a housemaker. Addy also has an older sister. In an episode of the Public Affairs program Tunay Na Buhay, it was revealed that Addy was a professional Track and field athlete in college and had an ambition of being "The fastest runner of India". He managed to be among the top 20 fastest men of India in the event of 100m in 2014. Because of his athleticism, he became an exchange student at the Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines, where he stayed for two months.[3] After graduating in India, Addy returned to the Philippines to start an acting career. He was then discovered by ABS-CBN's I Love OPM, a reality music competition show wherein all of the contestants were foreigners. Addy was eventually eliminated, only reaching the Top 24. However, he quickly signed on to the rival station GMA Network and was immediately given his first project, a romantic-comedy drama called Meant to Be
