The race was first run in 1995, at Kempton Park (the planned inaugural running in 1994 was abandoned). The race was run at Goodwood in 2005 and 2006 before returning to Kempton Park which was by now an all-weather track. The race was transferred to its current location in 2009.

gollark: Unless the tasks are *very* real-time you could just use a RTOS, surely.
gollark: Anyway, if you do not actually need fancy features, just get anything whatsoever?
gollark: RK3566 boards are cool and can maybe be purchased affordably now.
gollark: I also looked at SBCs, but they seem to be lacking in SATA ports too for whatever reason.
gollark: A NAS actually might work, since I don't do significantly CPU-intensive things most of the time.
