Abdullapur (Meerut)

Abdullapur is a settlement situated in the eastern outskirts of Meerut, just to the south of Ganga Nagar, Meerut district, Uttar Pradesh, India.[1][2]

It is also known as Abdullapur Sadaat. It was founded by Syed Mir Abdullah Naqvi. Abdullapur is the seat of the Kannauji Bukhari and Jalal Bukhari branch of Naqvi . Both are descendents of Jalaluddin Surkh-Posh Bukhari through Jahaniyan Jahangasht the forefather of Hazrat Shah Jewna and Makhdoom Jahaniya . The famous 450 years old Mosque, Makhdoom Jahaniya Mosque still present in Kannauj.[3][4][5][6][7]9th Moharram of this town is quite famous among Shia Muslims .Shakir Mahal, 52 Dari, Kot Masjid, Bada Darwaza, Azmat Manzil , Sayyed Tomb, Pakki Baithak ,Prachin Shiv Mandir are some famous sites . Pakki Baithak was build by Syed Barkat Ali Naqvi is almost 300 years old. [8]. Sayyeds of this place is popularly known as Mirsahib's. The lavish lifestyle of Nana and Nawasa(Syed Bunyad Ali Naqvi and Syed Badshah Ali Naqvi) was noteworthy. Syed Ali Bahadur Naqvi, Syed Rehmat Ali Naqvi, Syed Wilayat Ali Naqvi, Syed Mohammad Naqvi , Syed Hussain Ahmed Naqvi , Syed Shamsher Ali Naqvi , Syed Asgar Hussain Naqvi , Syed Shakar Ali Naqvi and Syed Asad Naqvi were also prominent personalities of this place. There are numerous wafq frauds cases going on including Vijay Malliya's liquor factory on waqf land .[3] [9]Famous Pakistani writer, linguist, critic Syed Qudrat Naqvi was also denizen of Abdullapur migrated to pakistan after the partition of India .[10]
