Abby Lakew

Abby Lakew is an Ethiopian singer and actress. She sings in Amharic and English.[1]

Lakew was born in Gondar, Ethiopia.[2][3] She moved to the U.S when she was 13, and went to high school in Dallas, Texas.[3]

At the 2016 Kora All-Africa Music Awards, Lakew was nominated for Best Traditional Female Artist for Africa.[4]
