A Little Nonsense (Now and Then)

A Little Nonsense: Now and Then is a 3-CD boxed set by the progressive rock band echolyn. Most notably, the set includes newly mastered versions of their long-out-of-print debut album, echolyn and EP, And Every Blossom. The masters had previously been locked away in the vaults at Epic Records/Sony Music, but were graciously returned to the band in 2000 by Michael Caplan, the A&R guy that originally signed echolyn to Sony 550 in 1994. The set also includes a newly mastered version of When the Sweet Turns Sour, the band's thought-to-be swan song of demos and live tracks from 1996. The third disc digs deep into the echolyn archives to feature an early song called "The Edge of Wonder (Erad-glitch)" from the band's demo cassette, "The Art of Group Earwax Mining" from 1989. The remainder of disc 3 features several songs from Cowboy Poems Free recorded live in the studio prior to the album's release as a demo for then-Inside Out Music executive, Jim Pitulski, as well as re-recordings of four echolyn "classics."
