AVIC AW

AVIC AW is a series of Chinese UAVs developed by Beijing Wisewell Avionics Technology Co., Ltd. (北京维思韦尔航空电子技术有限公司), a wholly owned subsidiary of Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). Some models of AW series are currently under evaluation of Chinese military and various local law enforcement agencies.

AW-2 Falcon Hawk

AW-2 Falcon Hawk (Sun Ying, or Sunying, 隼鹰) is miniature UAV of tractor configuration with T-tail, and the propulsion comes from a two-blade propeller driven by an engine.[1]

AW-4 Shark II

AW-4 Shark II (Sha Yu or Shayu鲨鱼) is a light UAV of conventional layout with V-tail, and propulsion comes from a two-blade propeller driven by a pusher engine. Specification:[2]

  • Range: 150 km
  • Endurance: 4 h
  • Max takeoff weight: 55 kg

AW-12

AW-12 is the latest addition to AW series by Wisewell. This piston driven UAV is also known as AW-12A. The existence of AW-12/12A was first revealed by its developer at the 5th Zhuhai Airshow in 2004,[3] and by 2011, development is reportedly complete.[4]
