1998 Davis Cup Europe/Africa Zone Group I

The Europe/Africa Zone was one of the three zones of the regional Davis Cup competition in 1998.

In the Europe/Africa Zone there were four different tiers, called groups, in which teams competed against each other to advance to the upper tier. Winners in Group I advanced to the World Group Qualifying Round, along with losing teams from the World Group first round. Teams who lost in the first round competed in the relegation play-offs, with winning teams remaining in Group I, whereas teams who lost their play-offs were relegated to the Europe/Africa Zone Group II in 1999.[1]

gollark: Oh, you know what would be cool and is... kind of related to this? Self-replicating turtles!
gollark: And shouldn't it just do generalized "go mining", or risk going up and down a lot and wasting fuel?
gollark: But... are there really multiple ways to do necessary things to do what a player asks for?
gollark: I mean, that's kind of the opposite.
gollark: So why should some things get "priorities" or something? Shouldn't it just try and do whatever it has to do to do what the player wants in the order which minimizes cost?
