1988 Midwestern Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball Tournament
The 1988 Midwestern Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball Tournament (now known as the Horizon League Men's Basketball Tournament) was held March 10–12 at Market Square Arena in Indianapolis, Indiana.[1]

Xavier defeated Detroit in the championship game, 122–96, to win their third consecutive (fourth overall) MCC/Horizon League men's basketball tournament.
The Musketeers received an automatic bid to the 1988 NCAA Tournament as the #11 seed in the Midwest region.
Format
All six conference members participated in the tournament and were seeded based on regular season conference records, with the top two teams (Xavier, Evansville) earning a bye into the semifinal round.

gollark: A bouncer is *a* solution, kind of, but it means I have to run an extra program just to get a basic feature which Discord and whatnot support.
gollark: Formatting does belong in the client, sure, except there's not really much of a way to get people to actually standardize on one.
gollark: But I think the biggest issue is not having message history.
gollark: I like at least having italicization work.
gollark: Like the not very intuitive permissions model, needing you to run a bouncer or something if you want message history, and lack of (generally available) text formatting or file uploads.
