Łukasz Zgiep

Łukasz Sebastian Zgiep (Polish: ˈwukaʂ sɛˈbastʲan ˈzgʲɛp, born July 9, 1988) is a Polish entrepreneur. A graduate of the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW), doctor of economics at the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the SGGW,[1] specializing in sharing economy business models, including Blockchain.[2] He has been the Chief Operating Officer of the equity crowdfunding platform Beesfund.

Career

As an expert in innovation management and change management,[3][4] Zgiep has been evangelizing companies towards improving their efficiency of business processes.[5] He co-authored the report Economics of Cooperation in Poland 2016,[6][7] and the annual summary The Polish Collaborative Economy Honeycomb, a matrix of startups that use innovative business models based on sharing economy.[8] He has been conducting training courses on cooperation economy, business innovation, and crowdfunding,[9] and has been a public speaker, conducting workshops for corporations, public administration, and startups.[5][10] Since 2016, he has blogged on economics and emerging technologies.[11]

Since 2018, Zgiep has been the Chief Operating Officer of the Polish equity crowdfunding platform Beesfund. He has also been involved in numerous Blockchain-related initiatives in Poland, including the Blockchain and New Technologies Chamber of Commerce,[12] the Association of Individual Investors, Blockchain Alliance, and Blockchain and New Technologies Chamber of Commerce. He has been a mentor in acceleration programs in Poland.[13][14]

In February 2018, Zgiep has obtained a doctorate with a dissertation Conditions for the Development of the Economy Sector According to the Sharing Economy Model.[15]

Prizes and accolades

In January 2017, Zgiep won the first prize in the Polish Chamber of Commerce's competition “Digital Poland 2020+”, for the essay Collaborative Economy as an Opportunity for the Polish Economy During the Fourth Industrial Revolution.[16]
