Work

In 1758 Bézout was elected an adjoint in mechanics of the French Academy of Sciences. Besides numerous minor works, wrote a Théorie générale des équations algébriques, published at Paris in 1779, which in particular contained much new and valuable matter on the theory of elimination and symmetrical functions of the roots of an equation: he used determinants in a paper in the Histoire de l'académie royale, 1764, but did not treat the general theory.

gollark: I'd probably play more if the server was busier and the pack somewhat less computationally heavy.
gollark: 8GB.
gollark: I quite like 1.7. I mean, Thaumcraft, Rotary/Reactor/ChromatiCraft, etc. are available, and most mods have some versions available on 1.7 still. The main problem with this pack for me is that I have to close Firefox or run out of RAM, due to the 300 mods.
gollark: I'll probably be on this evening (GMT), assuming it actually runs without eating all my RAM.
gollark: Bad e-webbernet?
