Ängie

Angelina Dehn (born 22 March 1995),[1][2] better known by her stage name Ängie, is a Swedish pop[3] and trap-hop[4] artist.

Early life and career

Dehn was born in Stockholm[5] and grew up in the town of Nynäshamn.[3] She felt rejected by her friends after they learned of her first girlfriend.[5][3] Dehn struggled with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and mental health disorders in her adolescence and even contemplated suicide,[5] but found relief in cannabis.[6] She has admitted that she used to be a drug addict, but has since given up on drugs.[4] After snapchatting clips of herself rapping to Death Team, they offered to produce her first single.[7][3] She worked as a bartender, nursery teacher and window fitter[4] before her single started getting attention.[5] She was signed to Rich Parents AB, a division of Universal Music AB[8] and her debut EP Suicidal Since 1995 was released in April 2018.[9]

On January 25, 2019 she released as a single "IDGAF", described as "a bass heavy trap roller".[10] It's the first song taken from Ängie's first studio album Everything Is Fake, set to be released as the following single.[11]

A joint EP between Ängie and producer Harrison First called Each Other was released on June 14, 2019. A music video for the track "Bambam" directed by Ängie herself and frequent collaborator Christopher Nilsson was released on June 21, 2019, being premiered via Gaffa.[12] The lead single "Dust" featuring Tail Whip off her debut album called Heartburn was released on November 22, 2019 alongside the music video. The second single “Sad Sex” featuring Tail Whip off Heartburn was released on February, 14, 2020. May 29, 2020 she released the debut single “Silver Sadness” of her new project with Harrison First with a music video. The project is called ”Not Pushing Daisies“ and was released the June 05, 2020 with 15 songs.
