Wumeru was a female banderbear who became a close friend to Rook. Rook met her while on his treatise voyage to write An Eyewitness Account of the Mythical Great Convocation of Banderbears. He laid out sallowdrop fruits as bait and after a while, she took the bait. Afterwards, she kept on coming back, meeting and befriending Rook.
