Wreck-demons
Wreck-demon was the collective term for any predatory monster nesting on a sky wreck. They took on many shapes and sizes. Wreck demons were often hideous creatures with large spikes and sharp teeth. In Clash of the Sky Galleons, Quint came across some wreck demons while he and his father were tracking down Turbot Smeal.

In a Facebook post, Paul Stewart shared more information about sky wrecks and their inhabitants:
"A wreck-demon nesting in a flight rock, preying on anything foolish enough to land on the skyship wreck it occupies. Probably began life as a glister carried across the skies on the winds blowing in from Open Sky. The flight rocks of dormant sky ships eventually crumble to dust but in the meantime provide these loathsome creatures with an ideal habitat."[1]
