Sour-cabbages

Rook overlooking fields of sour cabbages

Sour-cabbages, or sour cabbages, were crops farmed in the fields near Waif Glen of the Free Glades. They were grown by low-belly goblins alongside barleyrice, glimmer-onions, and cloudturnips. They were mentioned in Freeglader and The Lost Barkscrolls.[1][2]

Trivia

  • Sour-Cabbage is also a food in our world, but it refers to the cabbage that has been cut finely and fermented in acid. Sour-cabbage is well known by the German term "Sauerkraut".
  • It is likely that this was the inspiration for tripweed, a woodtroll delicacy disliked by all Immortals.
