Sky barnacles

Sky barnacles were barnacles that clung to sky ships. They were also attracted to logbaits, which were used to minimise the damage the barnacles did to the ships themselves.[1] Sky barnacles could seriously damage a ship, as an infestation of them wrecked the rudder wheel of the Stormchaser in 19 ᴇ.ʏ.[2]
