Kraan

Kraan was a White Raven who appeared in the Twig trilogy. Found as a scrawny runt by the Professor of Darkness, Kraan was domesticated and taught rudimentary elements of speech. Kraan eventually grew strong and became leader of the flock of White Ravens in the Stone Gardens. Kraan alerted the Professor of Darkness when Twig landed in the Stone Gardens during Midnight Over Sanctaphrax, and, later, he delivered Twig's warning to the Professor that Sanctaphrax had to be evacuated before the Mother Storm struck.
