Great Storms were enormous thunderstorms which came in from Open Sky. When above the Twilight Woods, Great Storms unleashed a mighty thunderbolt, creating stormphrax. Sanctaphrax academics could predict Great Storms by an increase in sourmist particles in the atmosphere.
