Daxiel Xaxis was captain of the Gatekeepers of the Knights' Academy. Hax Vostillix increased the power and influence of the Gatekeepers during The Winter Knights, and Heft Vespius supplied him with troops. Daxiel Xaxis led a revolution, attempting to seize the Knights' Academy for the Gatekeepers, but his armies were defeated. After his failed coup, he was stabbed in the heart by Sigbord, who he had tortured into giving a false confession.

It is likely that Daxiel Xaxis was a relative of Orbix Xaxis. Incidentally, both Daxiel and Orbix were merciless, power-hungry leaders of ruthless armies.
