Brittlesponges

Brittlesponges were stiff, sponge-like animals that dwelled in the lakes of the Deepwoods. The Stonecomb of Sanctaphrax was described to be "as porous as a ball of brittle-sponge". It was mentioned in The Curse of the Gloamglozer when they visited the Treasury Chamber.
