This sounds like its gonna be fun
Im on my HP..the acer was bought to replace this one..Haha.. Haha. I am VERY sentimental person, caring about my photos, pictures, music, my SAVED GAMES.
Back to whats going on..It says "Acer Explore Beyond Limits" which I find very ironic, anyway, after like 10 minutes of doing that, it says "Preparing Automatic Repair" then it says it has an error and to contact System Administrator or Manufacturer. I dont have a CD drive, and there are NO back up cds... Um.. Lost... Very lost.
If I hit ENTER to try again, it just goes to black screen.
If I hit F8 for System Options, it goes to blue screen..
Now this time it didnt even go to Preparing automatic repair, just went to black screen.
Wonder if I can fix it and get those files off... Or if I need to pay 100+ dollars to fix it..I just am tired of losing saved games, bookmarks, photos, and more. What can I do? I never ever had success at F keys on this laptop. Should i just shut it off, leave it alone, til I can afford to fix it? Or try something else?

If you have any USB device attached to it, try removing them and booting again. Do you get to the windows logo? Does the loading circle appear? And no need to worry, data is still on the disk and easily recoverable. This also seems to be a known issue and you'll find repair methods on the internet. The problems were related to BIOS settings (try reseting bios) or the reserved partition being too small. – Spokey – 2015-09-14T11:03:36.567
No Loading Circle.. Its not doing that at all. It just keeps going "Acer Explore Beyond Limits" Thanks for reassuring me the files are Ok. At least before wasting time before this happened I backed up my Sims3 To a Storage Space. Thanks for that, trying not to freak out about it. How do i get to and use Bios? Definately want to be more tech savvy cause regardless if I can get this Acer up and running I am buying a Refurbished HP, I <3 Hp :) How do I 'Reset' Bios? I go into Bios and it says HDD...Does that mean it is HDD. It is Acer Aspire S1E-115 ... I went to see if I can use Refresh and it wont allow it,and I tried Restore points and it wont allow it...
