I am trying to do something very basic in GIMP. I want to select an area and move that area’s contents. I have tried CtrlX, CtrlV (the selection box disappears), I have tried all kind of combinations of the Shift, Ctrl, Alt and Space keys with the Move function. I can only move either the entire image or the selection box only (not the selected portion of the image)
