I've recently read some nice registry trick about hiding the taskbar labels in Windows 10 (together with "never combine" option).
I want to do the same to the start tiles. I mean: there already are nice, large icons (tiles) and labels only distracts me.
Is it possible to hide the labels e.g. via registry or settings?
I've tried with name changing of shortcuts to " " or alt+255, but none of them worked (it did a trick on Windows 8).
The closest I've got to hiding them was to rename shortcuts to ".", but that little dots are irritating:
Of course, the small icons don't have any labels by default. But I want the same for medium size tiles.
You're a pro, sir! :) Thank you. I hope Microsoft will add more customization options for tiles (including label removing "feature") in future. But for now, we have to count on magicians like you ;) – PolGraphic – 2015-08-04T19:10:55.890
