Are (USB-)FDDs supported by Win 10?

Is it possible to use a (USB-)Floppy Disk Drive (3.5") with Windows 10? I have read in a magazine (I think it was c't 14/15, but I'm not sure) that Win 10 would no longer support FDDs (maybe meant: natively).

Drivers for floppy drives are no longer part of the base system and must be downloaded from Windows Update or from the manufacturer's website.

The Windows 10 system requirements state:
