how to merge two word documents in two columns

0

I have two MS Word documents containing pictures, chapters, tables , text boxes

One document is in English and the other is in Serbian (with correspnding pages).

I need to create a new document with two columns:

  • the first column is the English content
  • the second column is the Serbian content.

How can I achieve this?

    start="3">

  • I want try with table with two columns and one row, the result is the same
  • On end of first file I append second file, doubling width of page, change page layout in two columns, on start of second document I insert column break, no results

    how to send you part of document? documents have more than 300 pages – Parccsl – 2015-06-24T12:31:01.777

    obviously , when you do not answer questions you do not understand – Parccsl – 2015-06-24T12:40:15.827

    What you are attempting to do is called "parallel columns". The only way Word can do that is using the table. Unfortunately, I believe you have reached the limit of Word because it is not an advanced publishing tool and will require considerable amount for editing to work with what you have beyond text. You may want to start with just the text to see if Word will support 300+ pages (in column format it will probably be 600+ pages). – CharlieRB – 2015-06-24T12:40:55.093

    This is very good answer, discard ms word, try another software, Thank you. – Parccsl – 2015-06-24T12:48:10.260
