What grade of Neodymium magnets are commonly used in hard drives?

Is this higher than N38?

Or because of the possible heat in hard drives, at least N42SH is needed?

1i am not interested in the physics of a magnet or the difference between the grades. im interested in the hardware specs of a hard drive – 77120 – 2015-06-05T14:35:01.617

Hardware specs, as relevant to this site, would be specs that users might need to know to select or use the drive. The grade of magnet would be a design/manufacturing spec, just like what type of head the screws have that hold the components together inside the housing, or how many windings each motor contains. There is no guarantee that every manufacturer and every model uses the same grade, so even if someone here works for a drive manufacturer, their answer would not necessarily be universal. Contact the drive manufacturers and see if any will release the information. – fixer1234 – 2015-07-06T06:07:11.900
