How to figure out what Windows for Bing version I have and how to reinstall it?

I bought one month ago Lenovo G505, because I needed to have cheap notebook when I'm far from home. This was my biggest mistake ever. The problem is original OS is almost unusable for me - it boots more than minute even if it is UEFI based, it has lots of crap like face recognition or Solution Center, generally it's almost impossible to live with it.

However, it's not as easy as it should be... It has weird "Windows 8.1 with Bing" installed and as far as I know Microsoft doesn't have published any ISO to reinstall OS. I don't want to restore OS from recovery partition because even after removing all bloatware it will be still unresponsive.

And something more. I'm not sure if it is "Single Language" edition or if not. I have switched from Polish (which is my native language I want to keep) to English (UK). However, in IE instead of "Favourites" I have "Favorites" (missing "u", even spell checker in Opera here says that's incorrect).

I'd like to know where I can find information about use Windows version and then correct ISO, neither modified nor "with special visual/performance/licence tweaks". I want to have genuine, but pure OS. I'll backup recovery partition of course, but I don't want to waste my time reinstalling OS too many times.

1Windows 8 with Bing is a simple free version of windows 8 which is only distributed to OEMs. This means that you can not easily find a nice legal ISO and that you are stuck with installing OS + bloatware and spending half a day removing the crap. – Hennes – 2015-04-19T10:38:01.407

Maybe NTLite can help you weed out the components you do not want ==> https://www.ntlite.com/features/

Bing is Bing and not Single language. There are leaked ISOs of the Bing Edition available. – magicandre1981 – 2015-04-19T17:18:26.180
