After a crash computer will not boot with btrfs drive

0

So since I started using btrfs, when my computer crashes (mainly because battery ran out but on any crashe i had up until now) it does not boot anymore (the issue seems that the kernel cannot mount the file system).

When I boot the computer with a live cd and mount the drive and safely unmount it it boots normally again.

Is this a normal behaviour?

What can be done so the computer boots with out issues after crashes with btrfs drive.

Thanks for your help.

It's unclear what you are asking. Are you asking about making sure a computer won't corrupt the filesystem despite regularly crashing? Are you asking about how to recover the contents of your btrfs drive in this single specific instance? Do you just want to boot, and no longer care about the contents of the btrfs drive? – ChrisInEdmonton – 2015-04-01T15:53:10.143

I did a check on the disk it is perfectly fine. The issue is that the drive will not mount during boot up after a crash of any kind unless the filesystem is mounted and unmounted again on a booted system which is kind of weird. – user433658 – 2015-04-01T16:04:10.487
