My laptop doesn't turn on after properly shutting down

0

I've been using an HP Pavilion g6-2289x for one and half years. It was working fine so far. One week ago it started behaving quite strangely.

When I shut down my laptop after use, and tried to start it again, it didn't switch on at that time, but if I switch it on three to four hours later it works fine. It was happening until yesterday, but today when I tried to start my laptop, it doesn't turn on.

Even after 12 hours there is no response from my laptop. When I plug in my power cord, the power indicator light turns on but when I press the start up button, nothing happens. No sound no flash at all. I tried hard resetting by removing power cord and battery but that didn't worked. My power cord is working perfectly fine and my battery is also full. I am quite worried about my laptop.

I recently had a similar case on 2 different systems - both HP. In both cases the capacitors on the motherboard were leaking. You may want to have that checked by a professional. – whs – 2015-03-24T04:13:25.880

Is there any other way to turn on HP laptop like hot keys? Because I m thinking of another possibility that my power button might be malfunctioning. So if u have any short cut way to turn on the HP laptop that might help me – rashid mehmood – 2015-03-26T12:25:28.350
