why is there 5-50 gig downloaded in my temp file-windows task manager says my cpu usage is always around 90-100%

I have been struggling for over a week now trying to figure out why my computer is running slow when connected to the internet. Windows task manager says my cpu usage is always around 90-100% I have tried a few different malware, spyware and antivirus software trying to remove anything that would slow my computer down. They always find 1-3 trojans and remove them. I found that when i ran disk cleanup there was anywhere from 5 to 56 g in my temp file to be removed--and i do have it deleted, but it always seems to come back after some time away. i am using windows 7

Which process does task manager report is using 90-100% of the CPU? – Ƭᴇcʜιᴇ007 – 2015-01-16T16:16:17.903

Can you confirm that the temporary directory keeps being filled with large amounts of data? Based on how you describe the problem you don't seem sure of that fact. Should be easy enough to confirm. You need to delete the data then wait a few hours and verify its still within only using a reasonable amount of storage space. I suspect your finding false positives and your real problem is your HDD is about to fail. – Ramhound – 2015-01-16T16:38:53.937
