Softfail with properly configured SPF

0

I have just set up a mailserver with postfix+dovecot.

Sometimes, when I send an email, I get an SPF softfail (the other times, the test passes). It seems postfix isn't communicating the IP address properly. Can you help me?

Here is an example of a header:

Received-SPF: softfail (google.com: domain of transitioning ####@bknguyen.be does not designate 2a00:d880:5:182::423e as permitted sender) client-ip=2a00:d880:5:182::423e;
Authentication-Results: mx.google.com;
   spf=softfail (google.com: domain of transitioning #####@bknguyen.be does not designate 2a00:d880:5:182::423e as permitted sender) smtp.mail=#####@bknguyen.be;
   dkim=pass header.i=@bknguyen.be

Well, that IPv6 address is clearly not in your domains A record. How do you even send mails? Via SMTP? – Daniel B – 2015-01-06T12:15:56.020

Sorry I didn't know about IPv6... I send them via smtps. I added an AAAA (IPv6 Host) to my DNS record. Is there anything else I should do? Thanks! – bigboofle – 2015-01-06T12:19:09.823

What I mean to ask is does "v=spf1 mx a ~all" try the AAAA record? – bigboofle – 2015-01-06T12:36:17.760

Wikipedia says it does. – Daniel B – 2015-01-06T12:39:13.070
