Why not use a ramdisk? – user128712 – 2014-11-09T05:36:44.993

2Is dsik I/O really the limiting factor in playing it? Even slow spinning disks should be able to handle that bitrate without a problem. I would think CPU usage would be more of a problem trying to decode the large video. – heavyd – 2014-11-09T07:03:33.320

Are you connected to a 4k monitor? If not, what are you hoping to gain? – Tetsujin – 2014-11-09T09:17:54.087

145 to 135mbps is equivalent to 5.6 to 17 megabytes per second. If you have a hard drive that cannot manage those speeds then you have bigger problems. I'd suspect that your graphics card (probably an integrated Intel graphics) simply cannot handle the 4k video. – Mokubai – 2014-11-09T14:52:34.833
