TP LINK AV200 Mini no longer connects to the internet

0

I have a total of 4 of the above adapters.

One plugged into router, one for sky hd, one for ps4 and the final one for the laptop.

However several days ago I got disconnected from the PS4 and the two power adapters in the same room as the ps4 and laptop have stopped working.

The three lights are lit up, so it is powered up and connected to the network, However when I plug the ethernet cable in on the laptop I get a yellow exclamation mark and I am unable to browse the internet.

Looking at my adapters they do now say which version they are, so according to the website I assume they are V1.

I am starting to pull my hair out with these, they worked fine since feb 2014 and as of 2 days ago they have stopped working, I have tried turning them on and off and pushing the pair button again but I still get the same issues.

Can anyone help me?

Also I wish to add, my powerline for the router is plugged into an extension, sadly I cannot change this and in the room where they are no longer working one plugs directly into the wall and the other plugs into a 2 way socket. – Dave Ramm – 2014-11-06T09:13:47.470

I am yet to actually test the sky box to see if that one is still working (ill do that now) – Dave Ramm – 2014-11-06T09:14:14.020

1Does the laptop have internet when directly connected to the router? Did you try rebooting the router? – DavidPostill – 2014-11-06T09:41:03.413

Thats seems to have fixed it - well dont I feel like a plank. – Dave Ramm – 2014-11-06T14:26:26.270

Btw any idea how I would look to upgrade the firmware? also anyway to monitor and test how constant the connection is? – Dave Ramm – 2014-11-06T14:27:07.347

He he. Having done VoIP support for 5 years - Internet trouble shooting 101: 1/ Power off all equipment 2/ Power on Modem 3/ Power on Router 4/ Power on Devices 5/ If Internet still not working then panic :) – DavidPostill – 2014-11-06T14:57:48.990

I don't think you will be able to upgrade the powerline firmware. The router firmware is another question. Try the website of the router manufacturer ... – DavidPostill – 2014-11-06T15:01:34.350

Search "internet connection monitor" – DavidPostill – 2014-11-06T15:02:39.670
