SSD Power OFF duration

0

I am trying to find the power OFF duration of the Delkin SSD. If a SSD is Powered ON and Powered OFF and then Powered ON, Can I know the Power OFF duration? Is there any Smart data with which I can find or by looking into the data retention duration I can find?

Thanks for all the answers and especially XY problem. Update on my problem.

For my system I record data and time-stamp againest RTC. I dont have battery. If RTC resets the time goes back to epoch time until I reset it. So, my most recent data will have oldest time stamp. So, When I power-up is there any way I know from SSD for how long it was powered OFFsince last power ON? With this I can automatically set the time whenever power ON. Is there anything in SMART data which I can see that for how long my SSD was OFF or is there anything from P/E cycles I can calculate the age of SSD and determine an approximate current time and will be curious about its accuracy.

What do you mean by Power OFF? What problem are you trying to solve? (see XY problem)

SSDs are non-volatile storage. They should retain their contents indefinitely, without power. I'm sure there are limits, but for the purposes of a typical human life (no cryo-freezing or time-travel), they're supposed to retain the data "forever". – James T Snell – 2014-10-21T22:02:16.627

paraphrasing @doc, do you want to know for how long data will be accessible in a non-degraded state on a switched off SSD? – user 99572 is fine – 2014-10-21T23:18:58.110
