Windows Remote Access Clarification

0

I have a clarification regarding remote desktop in Windows.

If my local PC has access to a remote PC which is connected to a Full HD Screen then will my local PC which supports only (1366 X 768) resolution be able to set to (1920 x 1080) when I login to the remote PC.

Or will the max resolution be dictated by the max resolution on my local PC.

1resolution on remote sessions is driven by the client, not the server. – Frank Thomas – 2014-10-15T03:13:12.560

So it would allow me to set only till the max resolution available on my local PC right and not on the remote one. – Dark Matter – 2014-10-15T03:17:58.827

you should be able to achieve 1080p, but you will probably want to fullscreen the RDP window instead of setting the resolution as though you were on the local console. – Frank Thomas – 2014-10-15T03:22:45.253

Sorry did not get it. Here how can my (1366 x 768) screen monitor support 1080p resolution when the option isn't available on local PC. – Dark Matter – 2014-10-15T03:31:28.197

perhaps I'm getting your question backward. is the server resolution greater than the client? either way, full screen the window and it will scale to the local desktop. – Frank Thomas – 2014-10-15T03:49:16.417

The server resolution is greater. – Dark Matter – 2014-10-15T03:53:02.590

ok, then it will be scaled down to fit the clients dessktop, but you will either have scroll bars, or if you full screen the window it will scale. – Frank Thomas – 2014-10-15T03:55:04.380
