Download Video From SWF file

How to download from a Mac OS 9.1 Mavericks the full video from: http://www.seattlechannel.org/videos/video.asp?ID=5011401

When I download the .swf file (player510.swf) using Firefox, the .swf file only shows one frame - a small play button.

I intend to convert the .swf - video file - to a .mov.

I'm used to doing this with YouTube - flv, mp4 etc and then converting to .mov.

I used Safari - Web Inspector - to look for a streaming video URL, didn't find one, I'm not familiar with Web Inspector so I could have missed it.

Seems like this has been asked before http://superuser.com/questions/31705/downloading-video-from-swf?rq=1 please understand its entirely possible the author went to the effort to protect their video.

Once you get the SWF file you will need something like http://www.sothink.com/product/flash-decompiler-for-mac/ to convert it to another video format. The file you are downloading currently is only a preview file.

Thank you @Ramhound for the two replies. I saw a video segment by a large corporate website on YouTube so someone knows how to do this. I used the reply's to superuser.com/questions/31705/downloading-video-from-swf?rq=1 to get as far as I did. I am trying to find the actual video URL using the Safari Web Inspector which was suggested in another link. I found the preview URL and can play the one frame just fine.

How to find the URL to the main video file, after the 1 frame preview is what I'm looking for. How to find this main video URL? – Easyabcd – 2014-01-11T13:16:54.430
