I'm following examples in the book Head First C, and I'm supposed to enter strings at the command line for the program to encrypt, then ctrl-D when I'm done. But ctrl-D doesn't have any effect.

2Untried, but does control-Z work? (Control-D is end if file/end of input on most systems. But on DOS/Windows it is control-Z). – Hennes – 2013-08-25T19:49:51.887
